1. What are some of the main differences between a theistic and an atheistic approach to sociology?
A theistic approach believes in the presence of God or Gods. While, a atheistic approach believes that God is not present. Theists believe in following morale and ethical ways and link it to their religious beliefs. While, atheists believe the contrary, they believe in doing the right thing because it is right (i.e. it is their perception) and not linked to any religious beliefs or God.
Theists rely on the commands from God or prophets or religious leaders. On the other hand, atheists rely on ensuring the decision is moral and ethical and are not influenced by any spiritual leaders. They take their own decisions which are based on their own perceptions and thinking.
However, we can conclude by saying the approach determines the approach of an individual towards a particular situation. Both theists and atheists have their own set of beliefs and ideologies such that they have different impact on sociology and related decisions.
