What is transcript factor? How does transcript factor regulate gene expression?
Transcript factors are proteins which controls the transcription rate of the genetic data form DNA to mRNA as it binds to particular sequence of DNA. These proteins are responsible for the conversion & transcribing of DNA into mRNA. RNA polymerase is not a transcription factor.
The rranscrtransc factor binds to the regulatory sequence like enhancer sequence & they have the ability to trigger or suppress the transcription of the particular gene.
hope the answer helps

Explain how DNA methylation could be used to regulate gene expression in a tissue-specific way. When and where would de novo methylation occur, and when would demethylaiton occur? What would occur in the cells that give rise to eggs and sperm (germ-line cells)
