Answer: The social Security amendment of 1965 also known as Medicare was signed by the President Lyndon Johnson. This was signed on 1965, july, 30. The health insurance program mainly focused to the older people who are at age of 65 or more than that. The medicaid program was made for the poor people who can't afford the health insurance.

The major goal was to increase the number of insured patients and people so that they can easily avail benefits of the healthcare. This impact the economy as it decreases the cost of healthcare.
