The movie is based on Tuskegee experiment study of untreated syphilis in negro males. The study was conducted on the Negro men suffering syphilis to study the course of disease. The violation of these Negro men occured as they were informed about the study being conducted on them neither any consent was taken from them. Also the treatment for syphilis was withheld which could have saved many.
After this study strict rules and regulations were laid down to prevent any sorts of ethical violation of humans in experimental studies. Now a days no such violations have been seen.
