Nurse forms the heart of the health care system in delivering care to the patients.The nurse leader are one who guides,directs,suggest and ensures a proper patient care which are generally patient or person centered.

According to McCormack and McCance the person centered nursing framework consists of four constructs and the first one describes the attributes of the nurse leaders as "Prerequisites "

It can be used in the following way

  • By knowing self and about the patient to be taken care
  • Imp rove patient care especially with older adults
  • working with patients belief and values
  • to make shared decisions
  • use if transformational approach in the patient centered care
  • The attitudes of the nursing staff can be developed
  • The nurse can make an informed choices with the patient or patient relative in providing treatment
