The initial stages of a novice nurse will be stress period and the transition to registered nurse is not going to be easy. Some of the strategies that a novice nurse can do are to seek guidance and support from senior staff members. They need to study all the necessary things and should be passionate about their profession. In addition, they have to overcome insecurities and fears which is common among the beginners. Self-assessment and confidence will lead them to a successful transition to the nursing practitioner.

Providing safe care to the patient, upholding competency and assessing learning requirements are some of the professional development activities a novice nurse can to do to help them to a successful transition.
