Answer: In the healthcare setting, there is always need for the patients transfer. The transfer can be dwfines as moving patient from one place to the other friends their more comfort. For example moving or transferring of the patient from bed to a wheel chair or stretcher. The three categories of patient transfers are:

  • Standing, assisted pivot
  • Standing independent pivot
  • Standing, stand by pivot

The most common transfer includes bed to stretcher, wheelchair to bed and bed to wheelchair etc.
