Earliest time when C can be started = Time when its predecessor A ends = Day 3

Now, C and D take 6 days each and must both the complete before E starts. But, D starts on Day 4 and ends on Day 10. Hence, to end by Day 10, C must start by Day 10 - 6 = Day 4

Latest time when C must be started = Day 4

=> Slack for task C = 1 day
