Here the template DNA sequence is 5' TAT 3'. When RNA polymerase transcribes this DNA sequence it makes an RNA codon with the sequence 3' AUA 5'. During transcription the Thymine in template DNA pairs with Adenine and Adenine in template DNA pairs with Uracil. RNA polymerase enzyme synthesizes RNA in an antiparallel direction with respect to the template DNA strand.
