Correct answer: A, Abnormally short pre mRNA with a possibility of short but functional protein.

At the 3'end of mRNA a consensus sequence AAUAAA is present which act as a signal for endonuclease enzyme to cut between this consensus sequence and GU sequence for addition of poly A tail by Poly A polymerase enzyme. Complete elemination of the consensus sequence in the pre mRNA will remove the signal for cleaving and adding the poly A tail.
