Following are the some gender inequalities in today's society:-
(i) Unequal pay:- Women workers earned very less than their male counterparts, studies shows that women earned 80% what men earned. On the other hand on average American women are more educated than men, they earned more bachelor's, master's and doctrate's degrees then men but they get unequal pay.
(ii) Sexual harassment:- Many women face sexual harassment in their workplace and other palaces. According to survey conducted y non-profit organization in 2017 81% women reported sexual harassment in their life time and 38% of women have experienced in workplace.
(iii) Women are promoted less often than men:- There are few women role model in workplace despite educated than men , women are less promoted than men, women contribute only less than 5% of CEOs and less than 9% of top earners. Because of this many women feel demotivated and thought that these designations are unattainable.
