Technology such as social media can be used effectively to assist and increase the efficiency of CRM. Social media can be effectively integrated to support various aspects of CRM such as relationship marketing, sales force, customer support etc through obtaining frequent customer feedback which can help the business to understand the customer needs and expectations more accurately, thus helping to enrich and improve CRM strategies. This social media can assist CRM in matching the customer desires with the CRM processes to enhance customer satisfaction which is the primary objective behind installing CRM. Social media and other similar technology can help in maintaining a strong and long term relationship with the business thus supporting CRM to formulate customer retention and customer loyalty programs which will help to reduce the customer turnover and attract repurchases. Social media will help to manage CRM effectively through making customer accessible and available. Since social media can track the purchase behavior and interests of customers thus it can support CRM in framing policies for customers which will help meeting their wants through tracking their interests. Through social applications like LinkedIn , Facebook or twitter essential customer information can be gathered which can act as input for CRM to make necessary decisions regarding customer retention.
