Answer #1

1) Efficiency of single phase transformer:

Transformer Efficiency=(output power/input power)

For example:if the output power of single phase tranformer is given as 1024 watts and the input power is given as 1234 watts then the transformer efficiency is calculated as

Efficiency of transformer =(output power/input power)

=(1024/1234)

=0.829

%Transformer efficiency = 82.9%

2)Voltage regulation(VR) of transformer:

The voltage regulation is the level of voltage distinction between no load and full load voltages of a transformer as for its full load voltage.

% Voltage Regulation=((No load voltage - full load voltage)/full load voltage)*100%

For example:if the no load voltage is given as 9.544 volts and full load voltage is given as 9.033 volts then the % voltage regulation is given by

% Voltage Regulation=((9.544-9.033)/9.033)*100%

%Voltage Regulation =5.6570%

3) Transformer2 is easy to design because the load is less.
