In this answer, I have explained about insulin. How insulin is made by recombinant DNA technology.

A gene of insulin is taken from the organism then cloned into bacteria and then transformed cells are grown and insulin is harvested from them.

Next I explained how a vaccine is made.

The process is the same for everything that is RDT. You isolate the gene and then clone into bacterial and then isolate. We can make everything by RDT. We can make a genetically modified organism, vaccine, etc.

Next, I explained gene therapy. Gene therapy is of two types.

Ex vivo and In vivo.

If the disease is cured inside the body then it is in vivo.

If the disease is cured outside the body then it becomes ex vivo.

The last one is CRISPR. It is extra. Crispr is used for gene editing.
