Answer #1

1. Leading strand (L)
2. Lagging strand (K)
• The leading strand is synthesized continuously while a lagging strand is synthesized in fragments which are called Okazaki fragments.

3. Okazaki Fragments (G)
4. DNA polymerase (C)
• DNA polymerase is an enzyme that synthesizes DNA molecules from deoxyribonucleotides, the building blocks of DNA.

5. DNA Ligase (J)
• It seals repairs in the DNA, it seals recombination fragments, and it connects Okazaki fragments.

6. Helicase - Shown in picture below.
• DNA helicase continues to unwind the DNA forming a structure called the replication fork.
7. RNA primase (i)

8. Single Strand Binding protein (B)
9. RNA primer (H)
10. Replication Fork (E)
11. Topoisomerase (A).
12. 3' End of strand (M and O)
13. 5' End of strand ( N and P)

In the following diagram, label the following: leading and lagging strand, Okazaki fragment, DNA polymerase, DNA ligase, heli
