Compare and contrast aerobic and anaerobic processes of benzoate catabolism.
Benzoate catabolism can be done by bacteria under Aerobic conditions through hybrid pathway utilizes coenzyme A derivatives and boxR genes are responsible for this. While, under Aerobic conditions, the bzdR repressor protein controls the expression of bzd genes which are responsible for benzoate catabolism under anerobic conditions. Both are connected to a hybrid pathway which can be either activated or inactivated by the repressor protein.
Compare and contrast aerobic and anaerobic processes of benzoate catabolism.
Discuss the metabolic pathways associated with the aerobic and anaerobic catabolism of amino acids in microorganisms.
Compare and contrast the processes of catabolism and anabolism. Explain one way each of the terms differs from each other in relation to cellular respiration and photosynthesis.

QUESTION 5 Glucose (C&H1206) 2 Lactate (C H,Os) o Compare anaerobic and aerobic catabolism of glucose under standard conditions. The net reactions are shown on the right: He' ~-194 kJ/mol (99%) TAS® ~ +2 kJ/mol ( 1%) ΔGo, ~-196 kJ/mol (a) List possible reason(s) for the aerobic catabolism of glucose yielding so much more ATP than anaerobic catabolism of glucose. Glucose (CH 602 - 6 CO2+ 6 H2O o ΔΗΡ. ~-2800 kJ/mol (98%) T So,...
the reaction, acetaldehyde + NADH + H+ --> ethanol + NAD+, occurs during? 1. aerobic catabolism of glucose 2.preparation phase of glycolysis 3. anaerobic catabolism of glucose in muscle cells 4. anaerobic catabolism of glucose in yeast
Compare and contrast metabolism, catabolism and anabolism. We shortly talked about this problem in class, but my professor wants the answer in paragraph form and I am not completely sure. I know how to compare and contrast catabolism and anabolism, but I am not sure on how to incorporate metabolism. I hope someone can help!
Compare and contrast aerobic cellular respiration and fermentation in a facultative anaerobe such as Escherichia coli.
AEROBIC VS. ANAEROBIC IN Would you recommend exercising in aerobic or anaerobic conditions for a rapid but sustained weight loss? Explain your rationale using explanations in terms of the electron transport system (ETS), Krebs cycles, and other metabolic pathways. Use scientific language.
If the aerobic catabolism of 1 mol of glucose yields 38 mol of ATP, and the energy released by aerobic ATP hydrolysis to ADP is –46 kJ/mol, how much energy is available from 1 mol of glucose via aerobic catabolism? (Explain Please)
What is the difference between aerobic and anaerobic respiration? All of these The final electron acceptor used. The reactants. The steps involved Select all of the processes that produce CO2. Citric acid cycle chemiosomosis pyruvate oxidation electron transport chain Glycolysis
Q1: What are catabolism and anabolism (4 marks)? Q2: Under aerobic respiration, a molecule glucose is oxidized to generate 36 ATPs in eukaryote cell while 38 ATPs in prokaryote cell. Explain how this difference occurred (6 marks). Q3: Why aerobic respiration could produce more energy (ATP molecules) than anaerobic respiration and fermentation? By using glucose as the substrate, illustrate how ATP molecules are being produced in each case (15 marks). Q4: "Most microbes use carbohydrate (glucose) as the energy sources...
