do you think that the dicty will crawl to each other and aggregate into a slug?why or why not? being sure to mention any role of arp2.

Yes, the dicty will crawl to each other and aggregate into a slug. The Dictyostelium discoideum is soil-living amoeba also known as social amoeba. Amoeba movent occurs through pseudopodia. Arp2 is a protein which has major contribution to the regulation of actin cytoskeletan. Arp2 is important in a variety of specialized cell functions that involve the actin cytoskeleton and found in cellular regions characterized by dynamic actin filament activity for example in macropinocytic cups, in the leading edge of motile cells (lamellipodia), and in motile actin patches in yeast. Amoeba movement occurs via pseudopodia where Arp2 promotes actin polymrization necessary for amoeba movement. Thus, deplection of Arp2 will cause slugging of Dictyostelium discoideum.
