Sociologist George Elton Mayo in the 1930s founded the human relations movement after a series of experiments and studies. His theory was based on relation between employee satisfaction and workplace productivity. Human relations movement refers to the study of behaviour of people in groups, especially workplace groups. I think this is an effective management technique for the human service agency. Individual employees must be seen as members of a group. Salary and good working conditions are less important for employees than sense of belonging. So, using this technique one can take steps in the required direction in order to improve human relations.
