The correct answer is c) linker proteins

The linear arrays of spherical structures are referred to as beads on a string and these spherical structures are termed as nucleosomes. The nucleosomes contain equal amounts of each histone except H1. The histone proteins form an octamer of two molecules each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4, and the DNA molecule is wrapped around it. The linker DNA joins the individual nucleosome to one another. one histone not found in the core octamer of the nucleosome is H1, collectively called as linker histones.
