Answer #1

Ans. These leaders are talking about the importance of Empowering the employees. There is a very dire need to empower and motivate the employees in an organisation so that they can contribute more to the organisation . An empowered employee feels more motivated to do the work and can give exceptional results to the Organisation. Whereas if the the employee is not empowered , he or she might just be doing the same stuff over and over again without any enthusiasm and the need to do it efficiently. An empowered employee cares about the result of the organisation rather than just personal goals whereas a non empowered Employee would focus more on personal goals. Hence Empowerment of employees is essential in order to achieve greater inputs and so that employees use their brains efficiently to grow the Organisation , that's what the leaders are taking about.

Marketers sometimes say that nothing happens in business unless somebody sells something. That something is the firm’s product or service offering. However, the marketer must cultivate the attitude that he or she is not selling a product or service per se. Rather, the marketer is selling an experience or a means to solve a problem. The offering’s value comes from the ability to deliver benefits to enhance the customer's situation. – Consider a portfolio approach to product management. How do...

Doing business both with and in different countries raises many ethical concerns. We all do not see things the same way. From what you have learned in this course begin a discussion on ethical concerns that global organizations need to "watch". For example, when is a "bribe" merely a common business practice and when is it unethical? Should companies produce goods in parts of the world where they know that human rights of workers are not a priority at all?...

'superforecasters' are super because of their ability to constantly consider problems from multiple angles. For many people, this is not something that comes naturally (and as a consequence frequently means we are blinded by our prior perceptions, beliefs and experiences). How can we make sure that we avoid this trap? How can we make sure that we do not subconsciously avoid the hard questions by replacing them by easier questions? On the other hand, if good forecasters take take the...

Every day, we make many decisions based on our needs, our assets, and our desires and what is available to meet these. A Recommendation Report is simply a formalized written statement of this that businesses use to make decisions. They often use it to make decisions to purchase equipment or to make decisions to move or change something, perhaps even whether or not they need to hire workers. First, a business must decide what is the issue. In the case...

R2. The goal in this problem is to create something called a P-P plot (you'll need the result from R1 at a key place). Here's the idea: We start by choosing (say) 100 values for q evenly spaced between 0 and 10 (qvals). We also generate (say) 100000 random numbers from what R claims is an exponential distribution with (say) λ-1/2. Using a for loop, for each value of q, we calculate what percentage of numbers from the exponential distribution...
