Answer #1

Logic used -Evolution of mitochondria in respect to symbiotic mutualism.

According to the theory of symbiotic mutualism-bacterial gene tranfered to higher eukaryotes in the course of evolution.

Evidence :1)in respect to function :

Mitochondria gene share some of the basic property to that of purple aerobic bacteria which uses both oxygen and production of ATP also the use of Kreb cycle TCA CYcle, (0productio of NADPH,CO2,ATP) and oxidation phorylation is found out to be the same in higher eukaryotes.

2)double phosholipid bilayer

purple aerobic bacteria and photosynthetic bacteria have one phosholipid bilayer, but when during the course of evolution.. It transform from one layer to two bilayer due to the entering into endocytosis the process of engulfing into the membrane bound, which helps in the formation of double phospholipid bilayer.

3)the process of formation of DNA, RNA, protein :

Inheritance property of mitochondria includes their own DNa and dividing it irrespective of other organelles present in the cell. This show that they are not related to other organelles and thus can be said that it have evolved from bacteria to higher eukaryotes in the synthesis of DNA rna and protein.
