Gut microbiota can interact with host either directly or the immune system.

Numerous gut populating bacteria, called probiotics have been identified as protective against the genesis of tumors. Given their capability of preserving the gut homeostasis, the probiotics are currently tested to help to fight dysbiosis in cancer patients subjected to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Cancer bacteria are bacteria infectious organisms that are known as suspented to cause cancer.while cancer associated bacteria have long been considered to be opportunistic these is some evidence that bacteria may be directly carcinogenic.
