Answer #1

Psychodynamic therapy is in a way more person centered as it tries to unfold the conflict one undergoes in the present as the result of one’s past experiences. It tries to take one through a talk therapy by bringing out unfavorable events that is hidden in the unconscious mind. These past experiences would play a major role in shaping the attitudes, behaviors and personality of a person as they grow into adulthood. This therapy wouldn’t focus much on the biological self but would focus more on the psychological well-being by overcoming strong emotions and harmful feelings that are stored in the unconscious mind through a more spiritual approach of cleansing the negative feelings and would make the client feel afresh. Forgiving and forgetting would be the two core elements of this therapy which would depend on the insights from the client.
