1. What is your moderately challenging goal? What subgoals must be accomplished?
2. Make a plan to accomplish these goals
3. Where will you get needed information or resources?
4. How will you monitor your progress toward the goal?
STRATEGIES FOR ACHIEVEMENT APPROACH-
It involves facets like taking reasonable risks, being in charge of the outcomes, informational environment search and usage of feedback.
1- My moderately challenging goal is to be well versed with English Communication.
This goal is including one to one interaction, public speaking, making good power point presentations and possessing a command over voice modulation, eye contact, vocabulary and fluency. These all can be termed as the sub goals to be accomplished.
2- The goal can be accomplished in a planned manner with respect to a timely framework and by achieving objectives that are SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound). Time period for this should be one year fragmented into 15 days to one month for each sub goal depending upon the significance of the topic and nature of the activity.
The phenomenon will start with learning grammar, and proceed further with verbal communication, extempore, group discussions, debate, essay writing, letter writing, email and report writing etc. for written communication.
3- The needed information can be searched online. There are good number of websites for spoken English. Books from the library as well as personally purchased copies of books ca be useful. There are a few fabulous spoken English classes/ course available. Usage of dictionary, thesaurus will be enhanced.
4- The progress in this regarded can be monitored through self introspection. A rule in the form of everyday talks and writings in English will be imbibed and kept a watch. The concerned persons like a teacher, mentor, friend good at communication will be requested to evaluate the progress. Participation in related events and conferences will be highlighted.
