My day ends with a daily report to the purchase head, under whom I work.
I have been in this role for past six months. I was one of the three students selected from the campus for this role, after completing my diploma in materials management. The selection process was a comprehensve one, involving asubject matter test followed by a group discussion and a psychometric test. The interview was arranged through the placement division of my institute. I believe that this role would give me fair idea about the ground level activities within the field of supply chain management and prepare me for my future roles as supply chain and logistics manager.
My bigegst accomplishment in theis role is the reduction of pilferage and spoliage of material, which stood at less than 0.02% in last quarter, compared to an avrage of 0.07% in previous periods.
