Does every firm in a supply chain have to share the same attitude toward demand/supply integration for this concept to take hold?
It shall be difficult to make every Firm in a supply chain share the same attitude toward demand/supply integration because each Firm may have a varied range of products or services to offer to their customers that may differ distinctly from that of the other Firm. However, for integration in supply chain to hold strong, these Firms need to share some attitude in common so that a mutual platform is established wherein the scope of flexibility in Supply chain improves and makes these Firms jointly adjust to the general requests of such clients in the industry that pertain to demand/supply. Besides, certain common attitude shall also provide these firms of various other benefits from demand/supply integration such as sharing of costs in the supply chain process, reduction of waste, more unity in facing the market competitors, etc. Therefore, in view of their own benefits, sharing the same attitude towards demand/supply integration shall be preferable for this concept to hold true.
