Data is as precious , if not more, than oil these days. A data can help you take your next business decision , provided you know how to look at it. What you do to it rather.Organisations are generating terabytes of data each day. Take your nearest walmart for example. Gone are the days when the transaction data was helping walmart order products it was running out of.Now its telling walmart to stack a certain group of products together because they tend to get sold in pairs or triplets very often. This is done by applying algorithms on large amounts of data(which companies are generating these days) and unearthing patterns from that data which was difficult to figure out looking at the data manually. This is called data mining. Large organisations are hiring smaller ones to discover knowledge from their data and help them run their businesses more efficiently.
