Do you believe that the world is ordered in the way Enlightenment thinkers did?
Yes, it is true that the world is ordered from the perspective of both social and political aspects as to maintain peace. The social contract is one of the concepts which was introduced and supported by great enlightenment period thinkers like Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. In today's world, this is true as all countries have a government ruling the people whether it be democratic, autocratic, monarchy, etc. It is a true fact that all human beings are egoistic and highly selfish. If there is no social contract or governing body in this world we can always expect a civil war everywhere which will ultimately lead to the perish of mankind.
