With terrorism playing a prominent role within our borders, some have suggested the possibility of combining efforts of the military with law enforcement.

1. What benefits could/would be gained by the criminal justice system as a whole by combining the efforts of military with law enforcement and which criminal activities would this joint effort have the most impact?

Military people are highly trained to combat all kinds of wrongful activities. When the military is combined with law enforcement, to form criminal justice system, then there would be benefits to the nation, yet the strength of military will be over-utilized. The scope of the military is widened here. However, to not over-utilize them and simultaneously not use them for petty works, military can be used against terrorism, hooligans, underworld crimes etc. To extend their contribution towards other crimes, they have to be trained accordingly. Such a combination, will have the most impact on underworld and illegal crimes.
