Meaningful measure areas are essential parts in CMS in order to fulfill its goals as well as connect the measures of individuals. These measurement areas demonstrate how to achieve high quality outcomes in patient care services.
Five most important meaningful measure areas are:
• Preventive care: in this area CMs measures influenza immunization receive numbers. It also measures the timeliness of various prenatal cares to the patient. The preventive care indicates the measurement of healthy child visits in the hospital for the first 15 months.
• Chronic conditions management: the second area measures several management parts which include osteoporosis management for those who have a bone fracture and regular hemoglobin tests for pediatric patients.
