Answer #1

Whenever you plot a graph the independent variable is always supported on the x-axis. This is the one which you are controlling by yourself. So in this case temperature is the independent variable and will be plotted on the x-axis.

The dependent variable is plotted on the y axis. It is the one which is dependent on the independent variable. As the value of independent variable changes, that value of dependent variable also changes.

After making the graph we can see that there is a linear relationship between temperature and body mass of mammals. As the temperature increases the body mass of mammals increases.
