Employees who are best performers in the organization, who care and work hard to create value for their customers, and who produce their marginal productivity at the higher end, will not be comfortable with the automation of compensation. The complaints will be the averaging of the compensation, neglecting their superior performance by the automated system.The second complaint will be the lack of reward for the their work and company not recognizing it well, because other average performers may also get the same compensation due to the automation system of compensation. The third complaint will be the overlooking of their own performance and lack of care at the end of higher management.
It will create demotivation and best employees may leave the organization for those opportunities that can reward them judiciously. It will happen, because automated system, will not be able to count the fine points of the performance.
