I will choose gills feature for the respiration

In the Marine animals there are various kind of gas exchange system. water have less dissolved oxygen as compared to the availability of oxygen in the environment. Aquatic animal have gills system to uptake oxygen from the dissolved form in water. Gills are composed of thin tissues which are highly branched and folded. When water flow towards the gills the dissolved Oxygen in water was rapidly diffused into the blood capillaries which are present in connection with gills. Oxygen was transported into blood and then circulatory system use oxygen for respiration process. The folded surface of gills increases the surface area for more oxygen absorption.

In the process of diffusion movement of molecule occurs from high concentration to low concentration. In the case of gills containing aquatic animals the concentration of oxygen was low in animal as compared to outside that is why oxygen go into the body by the process of diffusion.
