Some of the greatest barriers preventing the schools from meeting the educational goals for ell students are as follows -
1-) Different Culture sometimes makes it difficult for ELL students to mix with their fellow classmates. ELL students are generally from different cultures and countries where they follow Different tradition and Culture. So their social interaction is low, that sometimes makes themdepressed .
2) English Language Learner ( ELL) students often do not get the advanced terms in academics which are in English . So for them , the terms has to be simplified so that they can understand and can compete with fellow students.
3-) ELL students do not get the various rules or routes of the cities like how book a ticket for metro or how to find a street etc . Hence they arrive late at school by which their studies are hampered.
Efforts that supports dual language or two way bilingual initiatives and programs are as follows -
1-) It is very important to give importance to the native language of the student. So admission should be given to the student according to his English speaking ability and his/her native language. Equal proportions should be established between normal and ell students.
2-) There can be a pairing system where a normal student can be paired with a ELL student where the normal student can teach him/her English whereas the ELL student can teach the other student a new language. It is a great way for socio Economic and Culture integration.
3-) Employing teachers who are adept with native languages of the students so that difficult topics can be discussed with them and students could benefit for them
Recommendations to address those barriers are -
1-) The school should be in suburbs rather than being in urban areas because generally ELL schools have a majority of students having low economic freedom and a minority of English speaking students. So, opening school in suburbs reduce cost and have more expenses on experienced teachers.
2-) A proper interaction circle should be formed so that Different students of Different Cultures could Interact with each other and form a social bond.
3-) Proper Transport should be given to ELL students so that they do not arrive late to their school.
Potential change elements will be the school management and the students because school management can also make decisions regarding the support of ELL students and students are also the potential agents as they only have a direct contact with ELL students after school and if they are supportive , then the ELL students can learn more faster
