1) When the same key is used to both encrypt and decrypt data, it is also known as symmetric encryption.

In symmetric encryption, both systems that are engaged in encryption and decryption keeps One Key and uses that single key for both encrypting and decrypting data.

2) Another way to configure EFS is by using the cipher.exe command in the command prompt window, which offers many more options.

EFS ,that is, Encrypting File System is a feature in Microsoft Windows that provides filesystem-level encryption. cipher.exe command can be used to encrypt files and directories from Windows command line prompt. This command can be used to encrypt or decrypt data on NTFS drives. (New Technology File System).
