Solution:
In a recent communication failure which happened at my workplace, it was extremely difficult to get my idea heard and understood to the client because of the inability of the client as well as me to understand and come to common ground from where we could understand the essential attributes of the meeting which was going on. The inability of the communicating effectively cost me a great deal and resulted in failure to land a high-value deal. The barriers to this communication problems were the inability of both the involved parties to come at an understanding and be able to understand the viewpoints of each other. Another barrier was the limited efforts made by both the parties in listening to one another rather just trying to make one's point. hence, these were the barriers to effective communication.
These issues can be minimized by effectively listening to the client and understanding his point of view to be able to provide the client with the necessary information which will allow the client to understand the value benefits that I am supposed to offer. Hence, this will trigger effective communication and will allow both the parties to come to a conclusion faster. Hence, effective listening is key.
