Transnational teams work across different geographical, political socio economical and cultural landscapes for the organization. They face a number of challenges and conflicting situations of different types while on job. The most common type is cultural conflict which arises due to difference in cultures, inability to adjust with other cultures and lack of cross cultural sensitivity among others. It us a challenge before the HR to maintain a strong cultural identity while assimilating different cultural attributes. Other conflicts arise due to specific working environment in different regions which is determined by state of law and order, demographic, geographic and socio- economic conditions, which restricts the teams' ability to perform or assimilate with local environment. This factor is also capable of creating conflicts due to distribution of resources, performance evaluation, progressive planning and other strategic decisions which might not look equally attractive to all teams. Other conflicting issues include leadership, control issues, lack of autonomy, uneven distribution of power and vested interests of individuals which make it difficult for teams to perform.
