What do you think the word pseudoscience means? Is it a good enough term, or do you agree with Katie Burke that we need a different terminology? If you don't like the word, what would you call it instead? Given your definition of pseudoscience, what would you classify as pseudoscience?
A pseudoscience is a set of ideas that presents itself as science, while it does not meet the criteria to be actually called science.
According to Katie L Burke Pseudoscience term is lacking the coherent meaning and leading to unnecessary polarization, mistrust, disrespectfulness, and confusion around science issues. The distinction between science and pseudoscience is not clear. There are many things that are sounded crazy or confusing were proven to be legitimate in the course of time. To describe two things this terms was tend to be used. They are first to describe the claims that lack scientific evidence and second one the claims that are scientifically known to be misleading but their proponents nevertheless allege to have the support of science. This term was also used to claim certain value system, scientism, which refers 'valuing and trusting science exclusively'.
There are many apt alternative words for the term pseudoscience, which are much more explicit and constructive. These include, 'still experimental, as yet scientifically inconclusive, scientifically debated and lacking scientific evidence' ettc but not pseudoscience.
Using the term pseudoscience leads to unnecessary polarization mistrust disrespectfulness and confusion around scientific issues.

I find it shameful to not help ease so much human suffering when we have the capabilities to help. I don't think that national borders should define which people are worthy of help. I don't think that we have an individual obligation to help but if you are able to, you...
