Family heritage basically defines the familial hierarchy and gives an understanding about a person's origin and position in the scenario. A person's behavior is shaped by the family to which he belongs. Parents are the operators and modulators of the kids when they grow and to be more precise can shape the child in a correct or an inappropriate way. The ability to interact socially or the social status of the family, the quality of aggressiveness and arrogancy too plays a vital role in deciding the psychological development and social attachment of the child. If the parents show a decent approach with a scheduled and partially decent upbringing and makes an important approach in facilitating social interaction, the child is going to evolve as a person of noble qualities and humble nature depending upon the intensity of caring approach. Society, another factor in question plays an important role in shaping a person starting from the early beginnings upto death. This helps the person mould into the shape the society has already been fixed into however, eagerness to go apart from society view may prove problematic but effective. Certain rules which a society accepts should not always be considered equally acceptable by other societies and this gradually dismounts the fact in creating social rifts. The society can have an influence either in a positive way or a negative way. In India, women are considered holy and pure but there has been such objections on their freedom which nowadays have derailed their future. So, both society and the family plays a vital role in introducing the person as an individual and making him potent of facing difficulties by means of his social status, strength, psychological approach, expressing abilities and many other possible developments.

To talk about my family, there have been ups and downs and complete change to another community. Being brought up in India, there is always pressure mounted by both society and family especially from the maternal side as they expect a dozen. This ideology is theoretically good but the results are not always impressive. One more point that affects the mentality of people in India is the peer group or the friends. This place is a junkyard if considered in terms of peer groups as they negatively influence everyone in every possible aspect making me even a part of the project. But, the strict nature of my father and a loving and caring nature of mother helped me sculpt myself in the most desirable way possible.India is a county of religions and they do create momentum however it was totally different for my family due to my father being an atheist which ultimately made me strict towards my personal disciplinary measures. To be specific, all characters of my father have been equally inherited by me but are strictly restricted to my choice but eventually pop out. So, this clearly defines that a person would follow the qualities inherited from the parents although the nature can vary depending upon parental exposure. One of my friends had lost his father in his early childhood and was solely dependent on his mother who felt sick during his schooldays which made life miserable. The entire responsibility now rested on his grandparents to whom he wasn't well connected. Initial stages went well but ultimately he came out as a dropout. This indicates the role of parents and the guidance they provide in shaping the nature and the success imprint of the child. As seen in case of Mahatma Gandhi, he was born in a family where even stealing a handy thing from same house was considered as an offense of the principles set forward by his father. Once he stole his father's gold chain for which he cried a lot and confessed the crime for which he came across an emotional face of his father regarding the success that he has achieved in shaping his son correctly. So, emotional and disciplinary approaches led by parents do help a lot in shaping a person.

My family resided in the territory where Portuguese used to rule and my grandfather was a patriot who later on migrated to an urban city in search of job due to unhealthy conditions back in the initial territory. The Municipal departments hold the records of my family's insight which in turn was revealed to me after my completion of college years and eventually led me to know from where I was and what is the region in which I was born? To conclude this, my family history drives a lot of emotional content along with the struggles that drives me to work hard and be determined. So, yes, these are the values imbibed by me from an overall perspective of the family and society as a whole.
