2.Exposure to chemicals commonly used in workplaces can lead to a variety of short- and long-term health effects such as poisoning, skin rashes and disorders of the lung, kidney and liver. A quarter of all Victorian employees regularly use hazardous substances such as chemicals, flammable liquids and gases in their work. A study from Iran indicated that exposure to mixtures of organic solvents may be associated with the prevalence of hypertension in car-manufacturing workers.
2.1. In order for a chemical to harm a person's health, it must first come into contact or enter the body, and it must have some biological effect on the body. There are four routes by which a substance can enter the body: inhalation, skin (or eye) absorption, ingestion, and injection. Inhalation: For most chemicals in the form of vapors, gases, mists, or particulates, inhalation is the major route of entry.
2.2 . The health and safety of the workers have numerous determinants, in the workplace, which could lead to health risks such as accidents, injuries, musculoskeletal diseases, deafness, circulatory disease, constant irritation, headache, respiratory diseases, and lack of coordination due to stress was found when a survey was conducted by WHO in 2017.They also leads to skin diseases resulting in irritation , redness and permanent scars.
