Diversity is important for the reputation of the firm that the company is hiring people from all cultural background,religion. Diversity is good for its employee because they will get to know more about the cultural backgrounds and for the firm, it will increase the profitability of the firm and achieve good position in marketplace.

Organisation should build a diversity friendly culture so that any employee from any community can give their view point and encourage them to build cross functional functions.

Theory of motivation:

  1. Maslow's Hierarchy of needs
  2. Hygiene theory

These two theory are the best of all the theory because in the very first theory, Maslow is talking about the basic need of the people which are Physiological needs, safety,social needs, self esteem, and self actualization.This theory is based upon job satisfaction for employee.

Hygiene Theory is used to determine whether the employee is having a good experience or bad experience in his workplace. Factors like growth, reputation,appraisals, benefits, these need to be high for an employee to feel satisfied with their jobs.

These factors changes from employee to employee. Some employee wish to fulfill their basic needs while other desire for growth, enrichment, appraisals in any job.
