Answer: we know that if our immune system has lost its ability to differentiate between our own cell and foreign invaders such as virus, bacteria, and other pathogen so this condition led to the confusion so that our immune system start attacking our body own protein this condition is known as auto immune disease.

Oral tolerance is defined by our immune system not reacting locally and systemically to different pathogens such as food proteins. Oral tolerance turns down the attack both in intestine as well as in other body part as in oral tolerance our immune system does not attack aggressively.

Oral tolerance uses body normal immunological process to produce antigen specific suppression of immune responce against the implicated antigen.

Mechanism of action

Oral tolerance work by deactivating T and B cells .

They calm all the Th-1, Th-2, Th-11 cells which are responsible for auto immunity.

They calm the dendritic cell that line the intestine.

They also suppress the IgE that is having allergic response.

Overall we can conclude oral tolerance is responsible for deactivating the effectiveness of our immune system.
