Design and describe a potential data structures for a student registration system.
In your design, how will you integrate legal considerations to
comply with FERPA
in the use of confidential, private, and public information?
Answer)
The data structure for a student registration system is as follows:
There should be student components, authentication and user management components, subject components publish and public related components etc.
There can be an MVC Layer pattern where the model would manage the data associated with the system as well as the operations.
The view components would show and manage the data to the user.
The controller would manage the user interactions and also send the interactions to the view as well as models.
So as to integrate the legal consideration for complying with FERPA the online educational services provider should be assisted online, along with the vendors, service providers, contractors for understanding the FERPA concept/act where the protection and the privacy would be a major factor. It mostly gears in a third party provider.
