Exodus is the old testaments, (the Hebrew title of the book is Shemot) it tells about the rescue of Israelites from the cruel king Pharaoh of Egypt. God ordered Moses to take his followers away from Egypt to a safer place from the cruelty of Pharaoh. By God's guidance, he took the followers along the Red Sea to Mount Sinai in the Sinai Peninsula.
The first section of Exodus says about the freedom from slavery by God's guideline to his selected people, it is the migration of the group of people together at one time in search of safety.
The Chapter 1-18 is dedicated to the story of escape from Egypt under the leadership of God's prophet Moses and taking shelter on Mount Sinai. These were God's selected people.
The second part of Exodus that is up to chapter 40 tells about what happed at Mount Sinai. It says about Prophet Moses bringing the Ten Commandments from God. Moses saw the fire on the Sinai mountain he told his people that he would bring fire from the mountain, when he reached there he was informed it is God, the God of Israelites, he was given ten commandments that are the sayings of God and it was mandatory on each follower to obey these rules if they want the mercy from God.

3. The book Exodus begins with God's appearing to Prophet Moses and ordering him to free the people of Egypt from slavery. The Jews every year celebrate this incident like a festival called Passover that is freedom from slavery. It goes through describing the 40 years of wandering in the desert. The desert was the Promised Land to Israelis, who had escaped slavery from Egypt. The followers had created Tabernacle as the place of worship to God, and God had filled it with his glory.
The end of the Exodus tells about the death of Moses on Mount Nebo and burial by Yahweh. Moses is the prophet of Jews, from Prophet Abraham's ancestry.
