A general manager of an industry is responsible for handling various departments of the supply chain and to ensure the effective functioning of the industry as a whole. They have the managers of various departments like marketing, finance, production, quality etc reporting to them who are in turn responsible for the activities in their departments. These managers from each department handle their teams and are to report the progress to the general manager.
