Managers should recognize the employees needs, at what level they are from the Maslow theory or the McClleland's theory so that they get motivated and can do work well. These theory helps one to identify their employees needs so that they can satisfy their needs by providing them their required thing and it helps employees to work and achieve organisational goals.
