a manager and a subordinate disagree regarding what is fair. how does the fact that their roles are different bias their view of fairness?

doesnt justice require that if we help some persons, we also protect others who could get hurt when the help is given?

Answer 1= The perception of fairness depends on personal prejudice and perception. When it comes to the manager, fairness indicates that he has to evaluate the performance of different employees and the same parameters have to be considered while evaluating the performance of the subordinates.

When it comes to subordinates, he would expect that the manager must consider the level fo difficulties, involvement and other factors to be considered in the evaluation process. Thus in his case, fairness depends on his involvement and performance.

Answer 2= Yes, helping others is a requirement as per the law and if a person does not extend help despite being in the position of helping others, he can be sued for this case. But while helping others, the person must remember that no action must be performed that could haar the interest of others otherwise it will create the negative externality and thus will ut the helping person risk of being persecuted for the losses.
