From a planning perspective, how would you go about installing such a monitoring system into a company where you work?

Let us see in detail about my former company which is a multinational publishing company. The company publishes scholarly journals. The company has designated Journal Managers (JM) for their respective journals. Each JM is responsible for responding the e-mail queries within 24 hours of receiving them and he/she is also for completing the production tasks on-time to ensure the journal issues are published without any delay. Though the JMs assured that they have completed the tasks and emails on-time, there was a significant delay in the publication of the journal issues.

From a planning perspective, I would advise the management to install the monitoring software in every computer that is allotted to the JMs. There are many ‘spy’ software in the industry and it could help the company to monitor the performance of the employees. The company would understand why there is a delay in the journal publication. This monitoring software would give them insight on what makes the delay in journal publishing. This monitoring software also helps to avoid misuse of the internet for personal use. Thus, it is pertinent to say that the monitoring software is the best way to improve the efficiency of the organization.
