One of the qualities from the video that I would like to improve in myself is communication. This is because I feel, my communication style and method has a lot of room for improvement. A leader should be able to communicate to team members and followers on a regular basis and under various different circumstances.

Personally I feel that I have not faced a lot of varied circumstance at my work and my study. As a result, my communication skill or knowledge thus far has been more or less theoretical and does not have a lot of practical experience. If I can improve my communication with my fellow colleagues and teammate, I should be able to convey my ideas in more articulate way and motivate them at the workplace. Communication will also help me empathize with my team mates and help them empathize with me. This is very important because if we do not empathize with each other at work, in school and in projects, we may not be able to understand each other’s point of view and generate conflict. This in turn reduces efficiency of the teams. In order to avoid such pitfalls, teams should be able to empathize within the members and for that communication is important.
