Answer #1

Answer:

Yes, it is true that Ardipitheus had feet that looked like a modern human's. Because study has shown that the foot of Ardipitheus resembles the feet of an ape which are like human's feet too.

Ardipitheus ramidus was first reported in 1994 and later in 2009 a scientist announced about a partial of skeleton which was givwngthe name 'Ardi'. The bones of the foot in this skeleton indicated a divergent large toe combined with a rigid foot. Many discoverers had argued that the 'Ardi' skeleton reflects a human-African ape common ancestors that was not chimpanzee like.

Ardi's foosils were alongside faunal remains which indicated that they lived in a wooded environment. The pelvis, reconstructed from a crushed specimen is also can be taken as a proof to show adaptations of combine tree climbing and bipedal activity. But the fact that she lived in a wooded environment contradicts the open savanna theory for the origins of bipedalism, that states that humans learned to walk upright as climate became drier and environment became for grassy and open.

Note* Ardipitheus Ramidus, here 'ramid' means 'root' referring to the closeness of the new species to the roots of humanity, while 'Ardi' means ground or floor.
